Why Now?
OpenClaw has surpassed 329,000 GitHub stars (as of March 22, 2026) and is used by an estimated 2 million+ people worldwide (AI Business, March 17, 2026) - making it the fastest-growing open-source AI agent in history. At his GTC 2026 keynote, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang called it "the next ChatGPT" and declared that "every company in the world today needs to have an OpenClaw strategy." OpenClaw conferences known as "ClawCon" are now being held in cities around the globe.

Here's the challenge: the U.S. and China currently account for 65% of all OpenClaw usage (Nikkei, March 18, 2026). In Japan, many people feel the urgency - "I know I need to try this" - but don't know where to begin. There are real security concerns, an overwhelming number of use cases emerging worldwide, and a general sense of "where do I even start?"

That's exactly what OpenClaw Camp is here to solve.

ClawCon Tokyo - the first ClawCon to be held in Japan - takes place on March 30 (Mon), just two days later. We believe Japan needs its own hub for sharing OpenClaw knowledge. Together with a team of volunteers - engineers, entrepreneurs, lawyers and community managers - we organized this event to help you get started with confidence.
One more thing: our event preparation has been supported by CaptainClaw, OpenClaw's Slack bot, serving as our very own "AI staff member."
What Is OpenClaw Camp?
A one-day, hands-on experience that gives you everything you need to understand OpenClaw.

Here's what your day looks like: get hands-on with OpenClaw in workshops, build something real in the hackathon, learn by watching others during talk events and pair-prompting sessions, and share what you've learned at the networking meetup. By the end of the day, you'll be able to explain - in your own words - what OpenClaw is and why it matters right now.

Whether you're an engineer or a non-engineer, a seasoned developer or a total beginner - everyone is welcome. We want you to experience the excitement of OpenClaw firsthand. This is a community that values learning from each other.
Three Core Concepts
Safety: A Non-Scary Way to Get Started
We're inviting practitioners and tool companies that use OpenClaw safely to share practical know-how - from enabling sandboxes to configuring permissions. You'll walk away knowing how to set things up without fear.
Legal Compliance: AI Agents Are Now Your Business
A lawyer who has actually experimented with OpenClaw in professional practice is preparing guidelines - think of it as a "legally safe sandbox to play in."
Warmth: Just Step Up to the Plate
This isn't about building a polished product. It's about having fun with OpenClaw in a relaxed, low-pressure environment - like a friendly pickup game. Explore at your own pace and choose the sessions that match your interests and experience level.

We know it's a hectic time as the fiscal year wraps up, but we want to build something together: a place where it's safe to experiment, safe to fail and exciting to learn. Join us, and start the new fiscal year in April knowing you've already gotten your hands on OpenClaw. We'll bring the workshops and the hackathon - you bring your curiosity.
